NSFAS determines a maximum amount that may be awarded to a student for specific courses. Currently this restriction is only applicable for the FET Colleges.
The user needs to query the applicable external code (qualification) and maintain the amount as per NSFAS rules for the year. These rules are available in the NSAS manual. When money is allocated to a student, the system will validate that a student is registered for a qualification where the amount field in this option is not null (greater than zero) and that the maximum amount allocated to the student cannot be more that the amount indicated in this option for the qualification.
