This option allows the user to specify a default suspense account, to be used by the salary calculation program, when it encounters a General Ledger Allocation (GLA) that is inactive for the current financial year of the ITS Payroll System.
If no GLA is specified here, the payroll calculation program {FPRN-2} will reject transactions that are linked to inactive GLAs: otherwise the GLA specified here will be substituted for the inactive GLA on the transaction.
When a GLA is entered, the name of the cost centre and account are displayed. The system merely checks that the GLA has been defined in Maintain GL Allocations {FCSO-6}: it does not verify that it is active for any particular financial year.
