Issue Periods {LSLC-2}

The periods for which items can be issued can be determined by the system user: these can be structured either to fit in with the institutional timetable or for fixed periods, of approximately one hour at a time. Short loans periods can be set up as fixed periods or fixed times.


Pre-requisites to using this option:

The library must remember to set the parameter in {LSLC-1} to indicate whether the short loans are per period or fixed time.

Fields in the option:

Block 1:  Loan Periods

With this structure the following will apply:

Day  N1 This is the number of the day to be used, where Sunday is day number 1.
Period Number N2 This block is used if the library has issue periods according to fixed periods.  For example, if the library issues Short Loan items for specific times
Start Time N9 If the period is used, then the start time is to be entered.

Fixed Time In Minutes From Which  Period End Time Should Be Calculated  N4 Enter the time (in minutes) that should be used when calculating the return time of the item.
