Maintain Disciplinary Actions {PDOP-1}


This option allows the keeping of records concerning any disciplinary hearing and the outcome.



Fields in the option:

Block 1:  Personnel Offences and Actions

Description
Reference Code A10  The reference code is automatically allocated by the program on <COMMIT>. References starting with ‘D’ indicate a disciplinary and references starting with a ‘G’ indicate a grievance.
Disciplinary/Grievance A1 Indicate whether this is a (Disciplinary/ Grievance) action
Offence  A7 Supply the applicable offence code. The contents of the <LIST> function depends on the code supplied above. If D, only disciplinary offence codes are listed: if G, only grievance offence codes are listed. These codes are defined on menu option {PDCS-1}.
Date  DD-MON-YYYY Supply the date on which the offence occurred.
Respondent  N9 The personnel number of the respondent; the person's name and primary department are displayed.
Applicant Type A1 Indicate whether the applicant is a (P)ersonnel, (S)tudent, (A)lumni or (O)ther type of user.
Applicant  N9 The personnel number of the applicant and the person's name is displayed.
Representative Type A1 Indicate whether the respondents representative is a (P)ersonnel, (S)tudent, (A)lumni or (O)ther type of user.
Represented By  N9 The personnel number of the person who represents the respondent and the person's name is displayed.
Union Code A4 Supply the applicable code for the union of which the respondent is a member.
Committee  A4 Supply the applicable committee code which is involved with this action. Committees as defined on menu option {CMNT-1} and membership of committee’s are defined on menu option {COPS-1}.

Disciplinary Outcome A4 Supply the applicable action code
Start Date DD-MON-YYYY Supply the start date for the disciplinary action.
End Date DD-MON-YYYY Supply the end date for the disciplinary action.
Remarks  A40 x 10 Supply a short description regarding the offence.
Remarks on Hearing  A2000 Supply a description regarding the disciplinary action instituted.
Stop Payment A1 Indicate whether the disciplinary action instituted results in a stop payment of salary (Yes/No).
Start Cycle  YYYYMM If the above indicator is (Y)es, supply the start payroll cycle.
End Cycle YYYYMM If indicator in Stop Payment is (Y)es, supply the end payroll cycle.
Leave to Appeal Granted ? A1 Was leave to appeal been granted? (Yes or No).

Block 2:  Appeals

Reference Code  A10 Supply the applicable reference code generated on block 1. A <LIST> function containing reference codes is available.
Appeal Successful ? A1 Indicate whether the appeal was successful or not.
Committee  A6 Supply the code of the committee that conducted the appeal hearing. A <LIST> function containing the committee codes is available.
Hearing Date DD-MON-YYYY Supply the date on which the appeal hearing took place.
Disciplinary Action A4 Supply the code for the disciplinary action instituted.
Start Date  DD-MON-YYYY Supply the date on which the disciplinary action started.
End Date DD-MON-YYYY Supply the date on which the disciplinary action will end.
Remarks  A65 x 5 Supply a description regarding the appeal hearing and its result.

Block 3:  Disputes

Reference Code A10 Supply the applicable reference code generated on block 1. A <LIST> of these codes is available.
Dispute Type A1 Indicate the type of dispute. The valid values are (G)rievance, (D)isciplinary or (U)nion.
Dispute Detail  A600 Supply the detail regarding the dispute.
Nature of Hearing A1 Supply the nature of the Hearing. The valid values are (C)onsultation, (M)ediation or (A)rbitration.
Date of Hearing DD-MON-YYYY Supply the date of the hearing.
Dispute Code A4 Supply the code as defined on menu option {PDCS-1}.
CCMA Reference Code  A20 In the event of the dispute being referred to Council of Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration, supply their reference code.
Resolution A600 Supply the resolution regarding the dispute.
