Advert Answer Type Code Structure {PERC-4}

This menu option is used to define the Answer Types that may be linked to a Question & Question Group {PERC-5}.
Question Groups are linked to Adverts being placed on eRecruitment and are used to allow for additional information to be requested/submitted by applicants.
The answer type format determines how the applicant may answer a question.

Below are the Answer types that you can choose from on the system, depending on how you would like to set up your answers:

Text Box

This answer will allow the applicant to add an elaborate answer in text.
 
Check Box
Checkboxes are used for multiple choice answers where the applicant can choose several alternatives.

Data From LOV
The Answer will be provided from a List of Values that the applicant can choose from.

Pop up List
The answer here lists a drop down that the applicant may choose from. You can add alternatives that the respondent can choose from, you can also add any options that you would like.

Text- Based Answer (single Line)
This answer will allow the applicant to answer in text, but not too long- single line.

Date
This answer will require the applicant to enter a valid date.

Radio Buttons
Radio Buttons are used when you have different alternatives, but the applicant can only pick one (Single Answer Selection).

Answer Type A4 A unique Answer Type Code.
Description A30 A description the Answer Type. 
Answers A40 If the answer type only contains two opposing answers, the answers are defined here. E.g. True or False.
Min/Max level N5 If the Answer Type has a range of answers the minimum and maximum values can be restricted here.

  • Prompt Types with no set-up required:
    • (A) - Text Box : This will create a free format text box where the user can capture his answer
    • (D) - Date: This will create a "Date Control" where the user can select any date value.
    • (S) - Single Text Line: This will create a free format text line where the user can capture his answer.
  • Prompt Types where values must be set-up (Multiple Choice Answers)
    • (C) - Check Box: This will create a check box data control
    • (P) - Pop up List: This will create a field with List of Values
    • (R) - Radio Group: This will create a Radio Button group
  • Special Type
    • (T) - Value from a List Of Values.
      • This will create a List of Values based on data from the system.

Block 2 is used to define multiple choice answers to the questions.

Description A30 The Description of the answer type you are working on from Block 1 will default into this field.
Answer A10 In this field you will need to type in the possible answer codes for the questions asked. E.g. T.
Description A100 The Description of the answer code you have created. E.g. True.
Score N5 The score allocated to the Answer chosen.
