Advert Information {PROP-2}

This Four-Block option carries the following information regarding adverts:

Advert Details
Advert Cost Details
Cost per Medium
Other Expenses per Post

Fields in the option:

Block 1: Advert Details

Several posts can be advertised in the same advert. The combination of advert code, agency code and post code is unique.

Field	Type & Length	Description
Advert Code	A10	Enter a valid advert code as per {PRCS-1b1}; and the description will be displayed.
Agency Code	A4	Enter a valid agency code as per {PRCS-1b2}: and the description will be displayed.
Post Code	A4	Enter a post code which must be included in this advert, and the post description will be displayed.
GLA to Debit	A4,A8	The GLA of the post will default, but can be updated here.
Closing Date	(DD-MON-YYYY)	Closing date for this post
Cost of Advert	N12,2	The cost of advertising the post in this advert. This field defaults to zero, but can be updated (refer Block 3 below).
After the information has been entered here, the user must <COMMIT> before proceeding to the <NEXT BLOCK>.

Block 2: Advert Cost Details

The same advert can appear in several media, on several dates. The combination of advert code, agency code, medium code and advertising date is unique.

The Advert Code and Agency code are carried over from Block 1.

The following information can be entered here:

Field	Type & Length	Description
Medium Code	A4	Enter a valid medium code: the description is displayed.
Advert Date	(DD-MON-YYYY)	Enter the date on which this advert will appear in this medium. The system will provide warning if the advertising date is later than the closing date for the post.
Cost of Ad. per Day	N12,2	Cost of this Advert per day.
After information has been entered here, the user must <COMMIT> before proceeding to the <NEXT BLOCK>.

Example:

Block 3: Cost Per Medium

The advert code and agency code is carried over from the previous Block.

The total cost per advertising medium as entered in Block 2 are displayed, as well as the total cost for all media. The system also displays the number of posts advertised, as well as the cost per post (= total cost / number of posts).

To update the “Cost of Advert” in Block 1, the user must <COMMIT>. The user can still update this field.

Should more adverts be placed later, by adding records to Block 2, the system will again calculate the cost per post: Block 1 can again be updated.

Block 4: Other Expenses Per Post

The advert code and post code are carried over from Block 1

GLA	A4,A8	The GLA of the post will default, but can be updated here.
Authorisation Number	A10	An authorisation number for the expense.
Amount	N16.2	The expense amount.
Remarks	4 X A65	Remarks on the expense.
