Maintain Prescribed Books {SACADB-1}  


This option allows the user to keep record of the different books prescribed for a particular subject within a qualification.


The information may be printed via the following options:

{SACADB-4} Print Prescribed Books per Student
{SACADB-2} Print Prescribed Books
{SACADB-3} Print Bookshop List

The user may also define the list to be printed during registration. This is done on {SMNT-2} Tab - Report Choice. When the user selects the 'Generate Registration Printouts' button during registration on {SREGAR-1} Tab - Additional Generation Options, the prescribe list {SACADB-4} will be activated.

Academic Year N4  The calendar year for which this record is valid.
Qualification Code A6 The qualification to which the subject has been linked in the academic structure.
Subject Code A7 The subject for which this book is prescribed.
Contact N9 The Personnel Number or the lecturer for this subject.
Quota N4 The expected number of students for this subject.
Status A1 Is this a prescribed book or suggested reading?
Author Surname A30x3 The surname of the author.  The user may enter up to three authors.
Initials A6x3 The initials of the author.
Title A60 The title of the book.
Edition A4 The edition (number) of the book.
Publication Year N4 The year of publication for this book.
Publisher A50 The name of the publisher of the book.
ISBN Code A13 The standard book number assigned by the designated agency in each country.
