CAO Number Conversion {SCAO1-7}

The CAO number in Ireland starts with '00' to indicate the year 2000. In the ITS system, the number is numeric with the result that all leading zero's from the CAO number will be lost. With this option the user can set up a way to convert the CAO number and still keep an 8 or 9 digit number.

On communication to the CAO, the reverse conversion will be made and the CAO number will be left padded with zeros.

A record MUST be created here for each year that an applicant will be loaded.

Once a record is created for a specific year, and the master file is loaded, the 'Number to Add' MUST NOT BE CHANGED.

Fields in this option:

Block 1:  CAO Number Conversion.

Description
Year YYYY  The application year for which this conversion is valid.
Number to Add N9 The user can enter a number that will be added to the CAO number. Once the record is created for a specific year, and the master file is loaded, the 'Number to Add' MUST NOT BE CHANGED.
  If a conversion must be done, only the leftmost digit need not be zero. If no conversion must be done on the CAO number, the user must enter a zero.
Change CAO Number A1 This value defaults to 'Y'. If the user does not want the CAO number to be converted, an 'N' must be entered here. In this case, the conversion will apply only to the applicant number if the applicant number is not generated by the system.
