Comments / Restrictions / Activities / Progress {SRAS-3}


This is a general notepad where information regarding the project can be stored. 

This can include dates when a promoter expects certain deliverables from the researcher, as well as comments made by the promoter regarding the deliverables: comments made by the researcher regarding his progress: certain comments or limitations on the research made by the ethics committee, motivation for the confidentiality of the research: comments made by the internal or external examiner etc.  This also serves as a checklist of activities and whether these were performed on time.  This is the mechanism by which to control the progress of the various registered projects.

Sequence Number N10  This number is automatically generated by the system.
Project Code A8 A valid project code must be entered.  The project description will be displayed.  The <LIST> facility will display all valid codes.
Conference Code A4 Either a project code used in the previous field or a conference code must be entered.  The <LIST> facility will display all valid conference codes.
Applicable Person   A1 The person type indicator of the person for whom the comment is applicable.  This can be Student, Personnel Member or Other. The <LIST> facility will display all valid codes.
Number N9 The number of the person for whom the comment is applicable. The <LIST> facility will display all valid codes.
Comment Person  A1 The person type indicator of the person making the comment. This can be Student, Personnel  or Other. The <LIST> facility will display all valid codes.
Number  N9 The number of the person making the comment. The <LIST> facility will display all valid codes.
Expected Completion Date DD-MON-YYYY Some entries in this table may require action at a future date.  This is the date on which action is expected, e.g. researcher must hand in a chapter of a thesis.  
Actual Completion Date DD-MON-YYYY This is the date on which the expected action was actually performed. 
Comment Code  A4 The different comments in this table can be identified by different comment codes.  In this way it is possible to group comments of a similar type together.  The <LIST> facility will display all valid codes.

Block 2:  Individual Comments

In this block, the user can further elaborate on the comments that were linked in block 1.  This is a free format comments table and the following fields apply:

Line N3 A unique line number for the detailed comments.
Comment A100 A free format text field to enable the user to insert any applicable comments.
