Publication History {SRAS-6}


The history of all publications may be entered here, either by personnel, students or other persons.  The fields are:

Description
Person Indicator  A1 The person type indicator of the person/s involved with the publication. This can be Student, Personnel  or Other.
Person Number N9 The number of the above person.  The person’s title, initials and surname will be displayed. 
Group Number N6 This field can be used to group Persons together who worked on the same Publication. Enter the Specific Group number Or (ZERO) for new group number
Publication Code N6 The code of the publication must be supplied.  The <LIST> function will display all valid codes.
Publication Category   The category will be displayed.
Publication Date (DD-MON-YYYY) The date of the publication.  
Version   The category will be displayed.
Page   The Page number will be displayed.
Publisher A50 The Publisher of the Publication.
ISBN Number A13 The standard book number assigned by the designated agency in each country.
Responsible Department N4 The code of the responsible department.  The <LIST> function will display all valid codes
Article / Book Title A240 The name of the article, as it appeared in the periodical, or the name of a book, etc.  Only 57 characters are displayed, but the arrow can be used to see the full value of the field.
Field of Study N2 The publication’s field of study.  This is an indication of the subject matter under which this publication can be grouped.  The <LIST> function will display the valid values.
Contribution Code A1 The contribution of the person entered above e.g. author, editor, co-author, etc.  The <LIST> function will display all valid codes.
STATS Weight N3.2 The contribution of the person entered above. The system will default the weight linked to the contribution code. This value can be updated.
Project Code A8 If the publication is the result of a research project,  the project code can be linked here.  In this way it is possible to identify publications as an outcome of research undertaken.
