Link Streams to Start Academic Years {COOPST-3}


Streams should be linked to Academic Years at this option before it can be linked to students.


A practical placement stream always starts in a particular academic year and will have a specific duration. E.g. the stream ‘XX01’ might start in the academic year 2002 and might have duration of 4 years. This means that the last possible academic year in which activities can be defined for this stream and start academic year is 2005.

Before activities can be linked to streams, the user must define the start academic year and duration for that stream.

A specific stream code can be used in multiple start academic years with different durations.

The import and export functionality has been added to this application.

Fields in the option:

Block 1:  Placement Stream - Start Academic Year

Length		 Description
Stream Code A6 Stream Code as created in {COOPST-2} should be entered here, the applicable description will display.
Start Year YYYY Enter the academic year from which this stream will be valid. This will enable the user to link an academic years, weeks and activities to this stream and start academic year combination. The same stream can start in different start academic years.
Duration N2 Enter a value between 1 and 99 that will indicate the duration of this stream that starts in this academic year.
Comment A600 Enter any comment for the Stream, Year and Duration.
