Cycle for Scale Sets {FPRM-4}


A scale set consists of all salary scales that are valid for a given period.  This option allows the definition of a new scale set, which will come into effect at some future date.  The system is installed with Scale Set 1 with “Start Month” = 199001, containing only a zero scale with scale code “9999”.  Further details may be obtained via menu option {FPRG-1}.

Scale Cycle N3 Enter a sequential scale cycle number with which to query.
Start Cycle YYYYMM Enter a start cycle with which to query.
End Cycle YYYYMM Enter the end cycle for this scale
The last record will not have an End Cycle

Upon entering the end-cycle in this record:
  • The program will create a new scale cycle with start-month equal to end-month + 1 of the old cycle
  • A new set of scales will be created on the salary scale file containing the new cycle number and the scale values of the old set.
  • The new set may be maintained in Salary Scales Detail {FPRG-1}.
