Maintain Institutes {FSAC-7}

Institutions may enter into agreements with other tertiary institutions whereby fees are payable to the institutions in respect of students from the other institution studying at the institution or using the institutions facilities. These fees payable ate either referred to as Institute fees or Royalties.

Institute fees refer to a fixed amount payable by another institution to the institution per student as defined on the student fees structure. An example can be examination fees payable if examination facilities at another institution were used.
The payable amount linked to an institution for an academic year, is payable per subject or qualificationand are defined in the option "Maintain Institute Fees {FSAC-8}.

Institute codes are linked to fee structure records (event 05 or 07) in the options "Maintain Navigable Fields for Fee"{FSAM-29} and Enter Financial Debit Values" {FSAM-1} .

A batch update of fee records in option "Enter Financial Debit Values" {FSAM-1} "Enter Financial Debit Values" with institute codes can be done through option "Royalty/Institute per Qual/Subj"
{FSAM-27} .

To calculate the institutional fees to be paid use {FSAO1-26} "Generate Institute Fees".
