Maintain User Restrictions {LCIM-10}


User Restrictions are generaly used to either control actions that user can perform on a particular menue option or to limit data on which these actions can be performed.

User Restriction Types:

Restriction

          On menu options where restrictions of this particular type are implemented, user will have have full control over complete data unless 
          linked to the restriction code in block 2, in which case user data access and actions will be limited according to the rules of the restriction code.

Access

User having access to menu options where restrictions of this particular type are implemented, will not be able to perform certain actions and might not have access to
certain data unless linked to the restriction code in block 2.

Exclusive

                    Restrictions of this type are used to assign ownership of certain data exclusively to single user e.g. Notes.

Issue, renewal, reservation of library material is prohibited when patron doesn't have active enrollment/service record. This rule can be overridden by users linked to this 'restriction'.

BNTC Note Category Restriction Restrict user to specified note category or groups to enter and view notes. Restriction No
BNTE Exclusive Note Category Usage Exclusive use of specified note category for entering and viewing notes. Exclusive No
BNTS Notes NOT Accessible Restrict user from using notes. Access No
