User Restriction Systems

This is just an overview of all user restrictions on the ITS systems, by clicking on the links, a user will obtain the detailed information regarding each option.

User restrictions on data can be entered here {AMNT-8} for the Asset System.

ANTC	Restrict User to specified Note category or groups to enter and view notes.	Restriction
ANTE	Exclusive use to specified Note category for entering and viewing notes.	Exclusive
ANTS	Restrict User from using notes.	Restriction
AORS	Asset Movements	Restriction

This option {CMEM-23} permits the system administrator to link users to a supplier. This will ensure that such users may see and update only the item information of the supplier to which they are linked.

This will ensure proper functioning of the system in the case of there being multiple suppliers (caterers) on campus.

This option {FBLO-1} allows users to create and maintain bursary definition records.

Type	Description	Restriction/Access
BAMT	A user will only be able to update the amount available on the bursary definition if linked to this restriction, regardless of the type of access to the menu option.	Access
BMAX	A user will only be able to update the maximum amount per student on the bursary definition if linked to this restriction, regardless of the type of access to the menu option.	Access

This option {FBLO-4} allows users to allocate money to students against bursaries.

Type	Description	Restriction/Access
BCOD	A user that is not linked to specific bursary codes via this restriction will be able to allocate money to students against any bursary code. If users must be restricted to specific bursary codes, the specific bursary codes must be linked to the user via this restriction.	Restriction
BSMS	Access is given to users to send individual SMS messages to students. If not linked to this restriction, the user will not be able to send SMS messages.	Access

This option {FBLO-6} allows users to allocate money to students against bursaries.

Type	Description	Restriction/Access
BCOD	A user that is not linked to specific bursary codes via this restriction will be able to allocate money to students in against any bursary code. If users must be restricted to specific bursary codes, the specific bursary codes must be linked to the user via this restriction.	Restriction

This option {FBLO-14} allows users to link and delete bursary status codes against students.

Type	Description	Restriction/Access
BSTL	A user that is not linked to specific bursary status codes via this restriction will be able to link any status code to students. If users must be restricted to link specific bursary status codes, the specific bursary status codes must be linked to the user via this restriction.	Restriction
BSTD	A user that is not linked to specific bursary status codes via this restriction will be able to delete any status code from students. If users must be restricted to delete specific bursary status codes, the specific bursary status codes must be linked to the user via this restriction.	Restriction

This option {FBNO-2} allows users to create and maintain the family structure of a student.

BSMS	Access is given to users to send individual SMS messages to students. If not linked to this restriction, the user will not be able to send SMS messages.	Access

This option {FCSM-4} allows access to various parts of the system to be limited on a faculty/school-, departmental- or any other basis.

This option {HCS-24} allows user access to Clinics and Confidential Patient Information to be restricted.

This menu option {PAMT-1} affords the opportunity to restrict personnel to view records for specific campuses and departments.

This menu option {PACS2-9} affords the opportunity to restrict personnel members (iEnabler Users) to Departments.

A user will only be able to use posts linked to the department(s) he/she is linked to through user restriction PAPD when capturing an appointment. (Note that the restrictions only applies to the person capturing the data and not the approver(s)).
Restriction PBUD is used by the Salary Budget option of the Web Budget Module.
