Student Tables 2.9, 2.10 and 2.11 {MISSAP-1}
The data from this report can be used to provide input (Table 2.9) and
output (Table 2.11 or 2.10) for Formal Instruction in terms of each
academic department. It can be useful in calculating aspects such as
staffing formulae, space planning, etc. For South African institutions
it can also be used to calculate the subsidy provision generated per
department.
- The system will generate these reports from the existing SAPSE Tables 2.9 - 2.11.
- The total of each column of these report tables will be the same
as the corresponding column of the actual SAPSE tables. This implies
that the adjustments in respect of distance tuition (Tables 2.19 to
2.22) will be included in Tables 2.9 to 2.11. The user can, however,
elect to print Tables 2.19 to 2.22 separately.
- The individual rows of this table will reflect the number of FTE
students in subjects linked to the particular academic department, but
will not give the CESMs. Subtotals per faculty will also be provided.
- The system will read the year for which to generate the report from the SAPSE year as maintained in option {STMNT-1} for table sequence = 2.
- When the user generates this report, the system will ask the user
to specify whether the department must be taken from the (S)ubject or
the (Q)ualification. If the user requests it from the Subject, the
department will be taken from the subject definition on the Academic
Structure ({SACAD-14b1}). If the user requests it per Qualification, the department will be read from the qualification definition on {SACAD-13b2}.
The user is cautioned, however, to be aware when choosing the latter
case (Q), that all subjects forming part of the qualification will be
grouped under the qualification - even though the subject may in fact
have been presented by another department.
