Subject Group Codes {SCODE3-2}

This option was previously the first block on {SACAD-11}.

Subject Groups are used in

• The Student iEnabler Application / Registration where it works in conjunction with Validations {SMNT-1} "GA", "GB" and "GC". 
  

• It is not a requirement to set any rules.
• The subjects will be generated according to the group set-up and students may then use the 'tick box' in front of the subject to select a subject for registration.
  
• If rules are set, the applicant must pass these rules to continue with the application process.
• Note that Compulsory subjects must not be included in any group as they will be in a pre-selected list if only one block / offering type / study period combination on the curriculum is available.

• When a Subject Group is linked to the Academic Application {SNAPPA-3} of a Student through "Maintain Student Subject Groups {SNAPPAA-7}", the Subjects in the Group will be populated in the Planned Subjects of the Academic Application {SNAPPA-3} once the Student has been Admitted.

• The sequence in which the groups must be displayed.
• Minimum and maximum number of subjects that must / can be taken from any group.
