Valid Subject Group Combinations {SACAD-11}


Registration Subject Groups are defined on {SCODE3-2}.  (This was previously the first block on {SACAD-11}).

This option may be used to set up a code structure of Subject Groups.  Groups of subjects are defined and then subjects are linked to the specific groups. The application consists of three panel boxes as explained below.

This program is sensitive to User Restriction {SMNT-5} "SGRP - Restrict Subject Groups".

The data in the different panel boxes are dependent to each other.. Records cannot be created in panel box 2 if the corresponding record does not exist in panel box 1. Similarly, records cannot be created in panel box 3 without a corresponding record in panel box 2, however each panel box has a 'search' button where independent data can be search within each panel box.  A pop up will display all the independent 'searched' data.

Panel Box 1:  Qualification Group Link

This block is used to indicate which groups are valid for which qualification in a particular academic year.

Academic Year YYYY Enter the academic year for which the group / qualification code combination will be valid.
Group Code A6 Enter the group code for this academic year.
Qualification A6 Enter the qualification code that will be valid for this academic year and group.

Offering Type  A1 Enter the Offering Type of the Qualification for which the Group will be valid for the academic year.

Minimum Subject N3 Enter the minimum number of subjects allowed in the group.
Maximum Subject N3 Enter the maximum number of subjects allowed in the group.
Sequence  N2 Enter the sequence in which the subjects must be displayed on the Web Registration.
