Query Student Material Issues {SDGUIS-1}

The option allows the user to query student’s registration and study material information.

The screens cannot be used for data input or updating, but allows access to the study guides screens where study guides may be requested.

Fields in the option:

Block 1: Biographic Information

The user may be able to view the information but will not be allowed to update on this option.

Field	Type & Length	Description
Student Number	N9	The student number of the student who is being queried. The student’s Surname, Title and Initials will be displayed.
Preferred Language	A1	The student’s preferred language as captured on his biographical record is displayed.
Study Guides	Button	When the button is pressed, the Study Guides screen opens and queries all T-Student, Q-Qualification and S-Subject study guide records for all years for the student number.
View Address Info	Button	When the button is pressed, the address detail tab page opens which displays he address of the student..

Block 2: Qualification Information

Details in respect of a student’s qualification registrations are displayed in this block, when a student has been queried in block 1. By using the <NEXT RECORD> key the user can see all qualification registrations for a student.

Field	Type & Length	Description
Qualification	A6	The qualification code for which the student is registered.
Year	YYYY	The year for which the student is registered.
End Year	YYYY	The end date of the registrations active period.
Block Code	A2	The academic block for which the student is registered.
Qualification Number	N2	The qualification number linked to the qualification registration.
Offering Type	A2	The offering type for which the student is registered.
Study Period	A1	The study period for which the student is registered.
Primary	A1	The primary status of the qualification’s registration.
Registration	A1	An indication of the students registration method, (P)ersonal or a p(O)stal.
Cancellation Date	DD-MON-YYYY	If the student cancelled his/her enrolment the cancellation date will be displayed within this field.
Study Guides	Button	When the button is pressed, the Study Guides screen opens and queries all T-Student and Q-Qualification study guide records for the student number, year, qualification and qualification number, block code, offering type and student type of the qualification record displayed.

Block 3: Subject Information

Detail in respect of a student's subject registrations for a particular year is displayed in this block. Using the <NEXT RECORD> key the user can view all subject registrations for a student. The qualification displays within block 2; subjects will be displayed in block 3.

Year	YYYY	The start year of the subject.
Block Code	A2	The academic block of the subject registration.
Exam Year	YYYY	The exam year for which the student is registered.
Subject	A7	The subject code for which the student is registered.
Preferred Language	A1	The language linked to the subject registration.
Registration Date	DD-MON-YYYY	The registration date of the subject.
Cancellation Date	DD-MON-YYYY	If the student was cancelled, the cancellation date will be displayed.
Study Guides	Button	When the button is pressed, the Study Guides screen opens and queries all study guide records for the student number,year, qualification, qualification number, subject code, block code,offering type and student type of the subject record displayed.
