Update Main Subjects {SREGC-11}


This option allows the Registration Officer to update the Main Subjects of a Student, where a module was registered accidentally without a link to the Main Subject.

The Students Subject Registration data will be populated and the only field that will be updateable is the 'Involved Subject'.

PanelBox2:  Update Main Subjects

Subject Code A7
 Subject code for which the student is enrolled for.
Subject Number
 N2
 The Subject Number linked to the enrollment record.
Offering Type A2 The Offering Type.
Block A2 The Block Code.
Exam Year N2
 Examination Year for the subject enrolllment.
Exam Month N2 Examination month the  subject is registered for.
Exam Type A1 Exam type the subject is registered for.
Involved Main Subject A7 The main subject that is linked to the module.
Qualification Code A6 The qualification the subject is registered for.
Qualification Number N2 The qualification number linked to the subject enrollment.
Exempt Indicator A1 Is the subject being exempted (Y)es or (N)o.
Exempt Code
 A1 The reason for exemption.
Registration Date DD-MON-YYYY The date on which the subject was registered.
Cancellation Date DD-MON-YYYY The date on which the enrollment subject was cancelled.
Cancellation Reason A2 The reason for the cancellation.

Processing
Rules		  
  Before a Main Subject can be updated the student must have a registration record for the main on {SREGAR-1}.  

Error messages that will be displayed if the user tried to link a Main Subject to a module and it is not a valid combination according to the structure on {SACAD-10}:
  • Invalid Value.
Always use the LOV to get the valid Subjects
