Primary Exam Marks Entry (Alpha) {SSTUD2-7}

This option offers an alternative to the numeric entry of examination marks under option {SSTUD2-3}. The difference between this option and {SSTUD2-3} is that the user must enter the student number in block 2, whereas the students are automatically displayed in block 2 on {SSTUD2-3}.

In Block 1, the exam year and examination month is entered with the Subject Code and the Paper Number. The entry of the Exam Group, Campus Code and Offering Type is optional. Only students who did not cancel as where exam admission is ‘Y’, will be displayed.

<NEXT BLOCK> is used to move to Block 2 where the marks of students that are admitted to this examination can be entered. When a value is entered, the system will validate that the student has examination admission, or alternatively, display appropriate error messages.
 
The paper mark can then be entered and is automatically written in the field for “Adjusted Mark”.
 
The result and code will default.

There is a facility for validating with batch totals. This works in the same way as the facility under option {SSTUD2-3}.
