Required Certificates per Qualification {SSTUD3-4}


Students are sometimes required to present certain certificates before they may obtain their qualifications, e.g. a certificate from the South-African Medical and Dental Board before a qualification in Health Care may be awarded. Sometimes, applicants must also present certain certificates before admission to a qualification is granted e.g. ‘School Leaving Certificate’.

Description
Qualification Code  A6 The <LIST> function will display the valid Qualifications. The Description of the Qualification is displayed.
Certificate Code A2 The Certificate Code required for the qualification. More than one Certificate can be entered as a requirement. Certificate Codes are defined in option {SCODE-22}. The <LIST> function will display all valid codes.
Type of Requirement A2 Enter a ‘P’ to indicate that this requirement is for Admissions; a ‘Q’ to indicate that this requirement is for the Awarding of a Qualification: or an 'L' for a 'link only' requirement on Application.
Link Ind A1 This field is dependent on the previous field and only if the previous field is ‘P’. ‘A’ in this field will link the Certificate to the student’s record when the status of an application is changed to a status that leads to admittance ‘Y’ on {SCODE-26}. ‘N’ in this field will not link Certificates to students.
