NSFAS Donor Codes  {FBLN-1}


Institutions that make money available to NSFAS to supply money for tertiary education for students are referred to as donors by NSFAS. The tertiary institutions must report back to NSFAS per donor code. Donor codes are NSFAS defined and must be linked to NSFAS bursaries on {FBLO-1}. NSFAS will supply a file on an annual basis to the institution with all the donor codes. The user must update this table electronically every year using {FBLN-21}. This information will be used when interim reports and final reports are submitted to NSFAS.

Year N4  A record must exist for each year. A file containing the donar codes is made avaialble by NSFAS to the users on a yearly basis. The table can be populated on a yearly basis by running {FBLN-21} using this file.
Donor A8 The donor code as used by NSFAS
NSFAS Allocation N15.2 This is the amount allocated by NSFAS to the institution. The field is not updateable by the user and will default from the bursary definitions in {FBLO-1}. It is the sum of the amount available on all NSFAS bursaries linked to the specific donor code for the year.
Amount Allocated N15.2 This is the total amount allocated by the institution to students for the year against bursaries linked to this donor code.
Amount Available N15.2 The amount still available to the institution for allocation to students agaianst bursaries linked to the donor code.
Last Claim Number N6 Every file submitted to NSFAS for this donor must have a batch number. This number will be increased automatically by 1 every time that the interim report is run {FBLN-26} and a batch is created for submission.
