Maintain Equiment Detail {FPCM-3}


This option allows the user to link printing assets to an operator and a cost centre.

To use the print costing module the printing machines and equipment used in the printing section must be defined as Assets in the Asset Inventory {AOPS-1}.


Fields in the option:

Block 1:  Selection Criteria

This block is used to filter the assets queried in block-2 either per Asset Category or Asset Type or both.  If this block is not completed, all assets will be displayed where the asset is linked to Print Costing system. Refer "Link Assets to System" {FPCM-2}.

Asset Category N2 Enter the Asset Category to be queried or leave NULL to select all categories.
Asset Type N4 Enter Asset Type to be queried or leave null to select all types.

Block 2:  Equipment Detail

Asset No. N9 This is the number allocated to this machine in the Asset System.
Asset Barcode A20 Use the barcode to query for an asset.
Serial No. A15 Use the serial number to query for an asset as entered in {FPCM-2}.  It is also used by menu {FPCO-1b2} Requests and Tasks
Chassis No/VIN A20 Use the chassis/VIN number to query for an asset as entered in {FPCM-2}.
Registr. No. A10 Use the registration number to query for an asset as entered in {FPCM-2}.
Engine No. A15 Use the engine number to query for an asset as entered in {FPCM-2}.
Operator N9 The personnel number of the person who normally operates this machine is entered here as a default.  This number can be changed either when tasks are created or when the completion of tasks is recorded on the system
Cost Centre A4 Each machine, or a number of machines, is linked to a Cost Centre. The income generated by the machine will be credited to the combination of this Cost Centre and the Account that was entered under option {FPCM-1}.
