Split Salary Costs  {FPRI-11}


The situation sometimes arise where the funding for the appointment of a personnel member is shared among different Posts {PACS-4}

The Salary Calculation Procedure itself does not make provision for the distribution of a specific earnings to the General Ledger Allocations (GLA's) of multiple Posts.

 

This screen is part of a facility to distribute remuneration costs for a Personnel Member that would be allocated to the the Post {PACS-4} of the Person (as entered in the Service Records {PBOP-2}) to one or more other Posts and may be used to specify the details of the distribution.

   

Fields in this option:

Block 1:  Calculated Allocation

This block is used to indicate the Person, Post and Salary Component to be distributed. The detail of each distribution is indicated in the next block

Person N9 The Personnel number of the person for which costs should be distributed.
Upon entry, the name of the person will display
Start Cycle YYYYMM or YYYYWW The first payroll cycle for which the specific distribution should be done
End Cycle YYYYMM or YYYYWW The last payroll cycle for which the specific distribution should be done
Stats Row N10 The Salary Component (or Stats Row) for which costs should be distributed.
The cost distribution will be done for all the Earnings {FPRG-6} with the Stats Row indicated here. (With calculated amounts for the person)
  • Note that if costs should be distributed for multiple Stats Rows, multiple records should be entered here.
  • The use of Stats Row allows the system to apply the distribution for both Salaries and Salary Budgets.
Primary Post A4 The Post as entered in the Service Record {PBOP-2} of Person should be entered here. This is the Post from which the distribution should take place.


Block 2:  Split of Costs

This block is used to indicate how costs should be split and cannot be used without a saved record in Block 1. For each record in block 1, multiple records may exist in block 2 on the condition that the sum of the percentage-field for the records add up to 100.

Note that only Posts with the Status set to (A)ctive in Posts {PACS-4) may be used.
Upon entry, the Post Name will display
Percentage N6.2 The percentage of the costs that should be allocated to the Post in this record.
