Skills / Competency Codes {PPECS-9}

User defined Skills / Competency Codes i.e. Word Processing, Reading, Writing, Leadership, Management, Client Focus, Negotiation Skills, Presentations Skills, etc.

Skills Codes are used by the following programs:

Post Task/Skill Combinations {PPEO-8}
List of Skills per Post {PACSR2-18}
Post Profile {PACSR2-9}
Personal Development Plans: Skills and Competencies {PSDOP-12}.

Fields in this option:

Tab 1: Skills

Box 1: Maintain Skills.

Field	Type & Length	Description
Skill Code	A4	A code to identify the skill (mandatory).
Default Percentage Needed	N3.2	The default minimum percentage needed in this skill.
Skill Description	A80	The description and requirements of the skill (mandatory).
Alternate Description	A80	An alternate description and requirements of the skill.
Remark	A2000	Free text remarks relating to the Skill / Competency may be entered here

Box 2: Acquirement Methods.

The purpose of the information in this box is to indicate ways to acquire the skill/competency.

Field	Type & Length	Description
Acquirement Method	A4	The List of Values for this field is defined in the last tab "Skills Acquirement Methods".
Acquirements Method Description	A80	The acquirement method description will display here

Box 3: Skill Categories.

The skill/competency can be linked to one or more Skills Categories.

Field	Type & Length	Description
Category Code	A4	The List of Values for this field is defined in the second tab "Skill Categories".
Category Name	A80	The skill category name will display here
