Maintain Advert Text {PROP-3}

This option allows the user to create text for an advert, which can consist of user-supplied text as well as information carried in the database. The screen consists of two Blocks.

The advert code and post code are entered in Block 1. <QUERY> is not available, but <LIST> is: and will show the advert code and any post codes linked to it for which advertising text exists.
<NEXT BLOCK> then allows the user to create text and insert the various codes as for an ordinary letter (refer Section 5 for more information on letter text). After the <COMMIT>, execute <PREVIOUS BLOCK>; supply the next post code for this advert, then <NEXT BLOCK> to create more text. The user can start at line 1 for each post.
The following information can be included in the text of an advert by means of D codes:

              D1 - Post description {PACS-4b3}
              D2 - Minimum qualifications required {PACS-4b1}
              D3 - Salary scale of approved rank {FPRG-2}
              D4 - Closing date for applications {PROP-1b1}
              D5 - Post name {PACS-4b1}
              D6 - Advert code
              D7 - Minimum and maximum scale only {FPRG-2}

The system will insert no additional lines before or after a D code: which means that the user must supply blank lines containing no text if required.
When the user <EXIT>s, press Enter, a print menu allows the complete information in Blocks 1 and 2 to be printed. The user must supply the advert code and post code or ALL.
This option can be used merely to print the text of an advert by executing it, immediately <EXIT>ing and selecting the print option.
