1.4.  Linking with Other ITS Systems

The ITS systems are designed to eliminate the need for entering duplicate information in different sub-systems. This causes the systems to be integrated with and inter-dependent upon one another. The implications for the Co-operative Education System are discussed in this Section.

Students are registered in the Student Administration System for an in-service training subject details of the in-service placement can be kept in this system.

Personnel are defined in the Personnel Management System. These could be personnel members who are employed full-time by the institution, or personnel members who are employed on a part-time basis e.g. examiners etc.

Other persons are defined in the General System.

1.5.  Implementation and Operation

This system links to the Student System, the Personnel System and the General System. Students can be registered at the institution in option {SREGAR-1} or there must be a record of the student in option {SREGB-1} before they can be placed for in-service training in the Co-operative Education System.
