Indicators {SALUM-6}

The facility to link Alumni to “Indicators” is a flexible means of recording the various interests and involvement of Alumni. In addition specific indicators can be linked to a Residence.

Typical examples of Indicators could be:

Receives Alumni Magazine (used for producing address labels)
Golf Player (used for organising golf days)
Key Decision Maker (used for PRO activities)
Residence functions (used for organising functions for students belonging to a specific residence)

Fields in the option:

Block 1: Alumnus Indicators

The list of possible indicators is created.

Field	Type & Length	Description
Indicator	A2	A Code to identify an Interest that can be linked to an Alumnus.
English Name of Indicator	A30	The English description of this Indicator/interest.
Alternate Name of the Indicator	A30	The alternate equivalent of the previous field for use in correspondence with persons who have an alternate language of preference.
Display on iEnabler	Yes/No	The Indicators set to Yes will display on the Alumni iEnabler

Example:

Block 2: Residence Indicators

Under this option, indicators can be entered per Residence. When an Alumni is created using Bulk Copy of Graduates {SALUM-25}, the system will add the indicators linked here for the residence where the student was last registered on {SALUM-4} Alumnus indicators.

	Type & Length	Description
Indicator	A2	A Code that will be used when this indicator is linked to an Alumnus. The name of the indicator as created on Alumnus Indicators tab is displayed.
Building Code	A4	The Residence building from {SPCS-4} to which the indicator must be added. Only buildings with Aggregate Program = 9 may be entered. The name of the building is displayed.
