Matric Subject Exemptions {SCAO1-26}


The user can enter subject codes that will be created for an applicant where certain subject codes are exempted for entry requirements. The rules to be applied are discussed in detail where option {SCAO2-3} is discussed.


The import and export functionality has been added to this application.

Fields in this option:

Description
Subject A5 The matric subject that should be used to check the applicant's record.
Grade A1 Enter the grade that should be used to check the applicant's record.
Must NOT Exist A1 Enter a 'Y', if the subject code and grade entered above does not exist for the applicant.
Citizenship N3 Enter a citizenship code. This code will be used in conjunction with the next field so as to indicate that the student's citizenship code as entered on his / her biographical must either match or not to the records selected when exemption records are created.
Match? A1 Valid values for the field are (Y)es / (N)o. If a citizenship code is not entered, the cursor will not navigate to this field. This field will enable the program that creates the exemption records {SCAO2-3} to either include or exclude students that match the citizenship code.
Country Code N6
Enter the country code. This code will be used in conjunction with the next field so as to indicate that the student's country code, as entered on his / her biographical must either match or not to the records selected when exemption records are created.
Match? A1 Valid values for the field are (Y)ex / (N)o. If a country code is not entered, the cursor will not navigate to this field. This field will enable the program that creates the exemption records {SCAO2-3} to either include or exclude students that match the country code code.
Matric Type A2 Enter a matric type. If the applicant has at least one subject for this matric type, an exemption subject will be created for the applicant.

Enter a subject code, with the minimum score, that must exist with the first subject and the other subject codes entered below:

3)Subject 3: Score 3:
4)Subject 4: Score 4:
5)Subject 5: Score 5:

A score of null (where no score is entered) will mean that the program will not check for a minimum score; it will only check for the existence of the subject.
Create Record with the following detail :
Subject Code A5 Enter a subject code that will be created for the applicant.
Subject Grade A1 Enter a grade for the new subject.
Subject Symbol A2 Enter a symbol for the new subject.
