Maintain Exam Types {SCODE2-2}

Different types of enrolments can be specified (e.g. Exam Only, Normal, Re-Examination etc.). Examination Months can be specified in {SCODE2-3} and Examination Types and Blocks in {SCODE2-4}.

Apart from the normal situation in which registration with the view of both attending classes and eventually writing the normal examination, records should also be created for the various possible cases for "examination only" enrolments (aggregate exams, supplementary exams, special exams, etc.) and possibly also arrangements allowing students to attend classes without the intention of writing an examination.

The following fields must be entered: Please note that ITS provides a code "N" for "Normal Exam" which the user is not allowed to change, update or delete.

Field	Type & Length	Description
Code	A1	A unique Code to identify the type of enrolment that may exist. The <LIST> function will display all valid codes.
Description	A30	The Description of the above Examination Type.
Alternate Description	A30	The optional Alternate equivalent of the above Description.
Enrolment Type	A1	One of the following must be entered: (E)xam Only - in this case there is an examination that is not immediately preceded by attending classes. (A)ttend Only - this is the case when the students will be attending classes, without being allowed to enter for an examination in the subject. (B)oth - this is the normal situation where a student is expected to attend classes and to write an examination.
Restrict Requisition	A1	Exam Types Restrict Generate of Requisition for Dist Ed Prescribe Material flag on this record, if the Enrolment Type is Both or Attend Only (Null / Yes / No)
Exclude in Application Credit Calc	A1	Indicate if this exam type is excluded in the calculation of application credits.

Processing Rules
	When the examination type has been defined as "Attendance Only", this option will not allow the user to link an examination month to the examination type / block combination in {SCODE2-4}, since no examination is valid.
