Textual Data Types {SCODE3-8}


There are various places in the ITS Student System where textual data may be kept.  The Textual Data Types defined in this option are used to capture textual data for example, on the academic structure information on the menu {SACADT} and on a student’s record in menu {SREGB-5} and {SREGB-12}.


Textual Data can be printed at {SCODR2-10} and displayed on the Student Dashboard on the Lecturer iEnabler.


Fields in this option:

Block 1:  Textual Data Types

Field Type

Length		 Description
Code A10  A unique Code that can be used to identify a Textual Data Type.  The users can set up codes applicable to their own institution. 
Description A40 The description for the textual data type. 
Indicator A1 Indicate the type of Textual Data that has been created.  The indicator description will be displayed.
  • G - General
  • O - Outcome
  • I - Incidents
  • M - Moderation
  • T - Other
  • R - Resources
Active A1 Indicate if the Textual Data Type still active to be used in new records (Yes/No)?
Use Dashboard A1 Indicate if the textual type data will be displayed on the Lecturer iEnabler Student Dashboard (Yes/No).
Sort Order N4 The sort order entered here will be used when records are queried in Textual Data per Student {SREGB-5}
Use in Communication
 A1
 Add Use in Communication flag (Yes/No) to enable print of Textual data in iCOMMS reports
