Cancel Enrolment {SDREGC-3}

When a student wishes to cancel his / her enrolment for a particular qualification altogether, this option is used to record the event.

For further details on this option, see Cancel Enrolment {SREGC-3}.

The following rules apply to Distance Education:

The cancellation of a student’s enrolment will directly affect the student’s study material information for qualification and subject items; the table below will illustrates what the effect will be.

Student Quantity Requested Quantity Issued Changes
X 2 2 No items are outstanding and the student’s information will remain unchanged.
Y 2 1 The item is not fully issued for this, therefore the quantity requested will be changed to the quantity issued.  For this student, the quantity will be changed to “1”.
Z 2 0 Nothing is issued for the item; the request quantity for the item will be changed to “0”

*  The table reflects item code “001”, for which a quantity of 2 must be issued.

Uncancellation of a cancellation:

If a student cancellation is un-cancelled, the option wil:l evaluate the material the student should receive in normal registration circumstances; it will also take into account the study material already received before the cancellation.  A request will only be created for the balance of items not issued.  It is very important to remember that when an item is linked to “Re-issue Y”, within option {SDGUIM-1}, and the qualification and subjects are un-cancelled and the student has already received the items for the initial registration, the student will receive the items again as this action is seen as a new registration.  The table below will illustrate the records, which will be created.  All new requests created with the un-cancellation will be issued with the postal list option {FPMO4-25}.

Student Quantity Requested Quantity Issued New Request Changes
X 2 2 - No request will be created because the item was fully issued before the cancellation
Y 2 1 1 A request for a quantity of one will be created because the student already received one item.
Z 2 0 2 A request for a quantity of two will be created because no issueing was done for the item.

 *  The table reflects item code “001”, for which a quantity of 2 must be issued.
