Change Subject Detail in Bulk {SDREGC-6}

This option allows for changes to be made in bulk or on an individual basis to subject enrolment records, after they have been entered under option {SDREGA-1}.

For further details regarding this option, see Change Subject Detail in Bulk {SREGC-7}.

The following rules apply to Distance Education:

Student's study material information will be changed if the block code and language of the student is changed.
The option will create a new request if the student's block is changed and the items linked to the new subject / block combination have not been issued to the student as yet.  The same example used for the language below will be applicable on the block change.
The option will create a request if a new item is applicable for a language change, e.g. The subject MATH100 has different items for students whose preferred language is (E) and (A).  Item X1 is applicable for the language (E) and item X2 is applicable for language (A).  The student language is (A) and for the student's initial registration item "X2" has been requested for the student.  The student has changed his/her language to (E).  The option will change the data as follows, for different scenarios.

Scenario Quantity Requested Item "X2" Quantity Issued Item "X2" Changes to be made for Item "X1"
1 2 2 Item "X2" was fully issued this will remain unchanged and the system will create a new request for item "X1".
2 2 1 Item "X2" was partially issued; the requested quantity will be changed to one to complete the request, and a new request will be generated for the "X1" item.
3 2 0 No items were issued against the original request are being issued, therefore this request will be cancelled by changing the request quantity to "0";  a new request will be created for item "X1"

If the item is the same for both languages, there will be no change in the student's study material information.  All requests generated with these changes will be issued with the postal list option {FPMO4-25}.
