It is a unique set of system- and user-defined codes by which to
identify
types of activities offered by the institution. These
types are
used to group activity codes together in option {SDSREC-3} of this
menu. A set of system-defined activities already exists and
cannot be
removed by the user. These activities are marked with
an “S” in the
indicator field. The system-defined activity types include:

The
user-defined activity types will automatically be marked with
“U” in the indicator field when
the institution creates its own types. If a user-defined type
is
linked to students via the activity linked to them, this type cannot be
deleted. |

A30 |
The descriptions for the system-defined codes are
displayed and cannot be updated. For the user-defined
activities, the description for the type needs to be entered and updated. |
| Indicator |
A2 |
Valid values for this field are “S”
for system-defined, and “U” for
user-defined activities. Only records linked to the
“U” can be updated
or removed when not linked to an activity to which students are linked.

| Address Type |
A2 |
The address type will specify the address that should
be used to link
the service centres/activities to students. The valid values
for the
field will be determined by the codes created in option {GCS-24} for
address types for the student system. The list of value
function
<LIST> will display the valid codes for this field. |
