Exam Schedule Limitations  {SEXAMT-2}


This two-tab option allows the user to specify the maximum number of persons that can be accommodated in all available venues during one examination session and the venues that may be used for this particular session.  The data under this option is used when “Create a Timetable” option {SEXAMT-7} is run. The records contain:

Block 1:  Schedule Limitations

Exam Year  N4 The Exam Year to which this limitation applies.
Exam Code N2 The Exam Code of the limitations.
Examination Month  N2 The Examination Month of the limitation.
Maximum Number N6 The Maximum Number of persons that can be accommodated during this exam.
Date Last Changed  DD-MON-YYYY The system date when this record was last updated.
Offering Type A2 This is a display field only. It will indicate the Offering Types linked to the Examination Code and Month combination.
Note: It would be prudent to enter a smaller number in this option rather than the total capacity of all the available venues {SPOPS-1}.  This will allow for examination groups that would not fit exactly into the available venues.

Exam Year  N4 The Exam Year of the examination.
Exam Code N2 The <LIST> function will display all valid Exam Codes.
Examination Month  N2 The <LIST> function will display all valid Examination Months.
Building Code N4 The Building Code of the building which can be use for this examination.  The <LIST> function can be used to select valid codes.
Floor  N4 The <LIST> function will display the valid floors for the building.
Room Number  A7 The <LIST> function will display the valid rooms for the building / floor combination. If the Building, Floor and Room Number have a Date Inactive < System Date in {SPOPS-1}, the room is no longer active.  The LOV will not display this Room Number and the program will not allow an update.  However, if the Date Inactive > System Date and > than the last day of the examination dates specified for the specific examination code, the room will be displayed on the LOV and if the Date Inactive > than the Examination Date, the room may be used. The LOV will display the Date Inactive.
Exam Centre A6 This gives an indication of the Exam Centre the venue is linked to on {SPOPS-1}. This is a display field.
Seats Available  N4 The number of examination Seats Available in this venue is displayed here.  This information can be updated in option {SEXAMC-3}. 
Inactive Date DD-MON-YYYY The date from which the room will no longer be active as entered on {SPOPS-1}.
Offering Type A2 This is a display field only. It will indicate the Offering Types linked to the Examination Code and Month combination.
