Gen Student Mark Type / Assessment Records {SSTUD1-8}

This program is used to create student Mark Type and Assessment records used in {SSTUD1-2} and {SSTUD1-7}.

Its functionality is controlled by

The system cycle ‘M’ as managed in {SSTUDY-1} or {SMNT-2}.
The status of Validation ‘PM – Process Canceled Student Marks. If the validation is set to ‘Y’, records will be generated for students that have cancelled their subject enrolments. A value of ‘N’ will exclude cancelled students.

Please note that records cannot be created for students where the practical and tutorial groups are not updated where applicable. Use {SREGC-6} to do the updates.

The program must be run after registration and only once all the students are assigned to the appropriate Group Type groups i.e. types ‘C – Class’, ‘T – Tutorial’ and ‘P – Practical’

It can be run as many times as necessary. The program that is used to enter marks, {SSTUD1-2} will also call this program to ensure that all students (especially late registrations) have a Mark Type and A ssessment record.

This program must be run before project marks are entered in the Cooperative Education System, as there is no similar functionality built into {COOP-5}.

Sort Order		Per
	1	Faculty Code.

System Select
	1	All records within the above selection.
	2	Exclusions: Non-Primary Subject records. Cancelled students when validation PM = ‘N’. Exempted subjects / students. Exam Type of category ‘E’ – exam only. Students, where the Tutorial and Practical groups are not updated with a value.
	3	Include only Mark Types with the field "Mark Type Use" = 'Y' or 'P' in {SCODE-10}
	4	The program will always generate records on the Mark Type level. If the user indicated (B)oth for the prompt "Generate (M)ark Types Or (B)oth (M/B)", the Assessment record level records will also be generated.
	5	If no criteria are defined on Mark Type or Assessment level, the student records will not be generated.

Comments about the report example:

In the first line for the subject, there is no value under the Mark Number heading. This line reflects the number of records inserted on the Mark Type level.
The lines with values below the heading Mark Number, reflects the number of records inserted for the Assessments linked to the Mark Type.
