Secondary Full Period Marks Entry {SSTUD2-2}
This option provides for the
duplicate entry of
Full Period marks for the purpose of validation. The entering of the
marks is done in the same way as for the primary entry of marks under
option {SSTUD2-1}.
The way in which the validation will be done will be determined by the
way in which the Validation Control “VC” (On-line
validation of Marks)
under option {SMNT-1} is
set. If it is set to “N” the user will be
warned each time a mark is entered, that it differs from the primary
mark. It will, nevertheless, be possible to <COMMIT> such
records.
If
the "VC" validation is set to “Y” it will not be
possible to
<COMMIT> such changes. The user will be forced to first
update
the primary mark before the secondary mark can be updated.
Batch Control
It is possible to use batch control for verification of Full Period
marks entry by supplying the total score of all marks for that subject
in the “Marks Batch Total”
field. After the marks have been <COMMIT>ted, the system will add
the total of the marks entered, verify this against the entered Batch
Total, and display the calculated total with a warning if the two
totals differ.
This option is governed by the system cycle “E”. The students will be displayed in student number sequence, and input from class lists, etc., can be done quickly. Cancellations and exemptions are excluded.
