Enter Full Period Marks {SSTUD2-1}


If a user had previously entered assessment marks on the system, the Full Period Mark would normally have been calculated under option {SSTUD4-1}. In cases where the Assessment Mark facility is not being used, this option provides a quick alternative way of entering Full Period rks that have been calculated outside the system. This option is governed by the system cycle “L”.

The fields in bold text are mandatory, while the other fields are optional to further define the selection.

Using function “SREC” under option {SMNT-5} can control access to this option. This makes it possible to limit access to the updating of marks in respect of one person to one Faculty or Department, and Campus only. Campus restriction is non-mandatory.

Month   A2 The appropriate Examination Month.
Registration Year N4 The Registration Year for the applicable Subject.
Subject Code  A7 The appropriate Subject Code.
Campus Code N2 The Campus Code should be entered if only the Marks for a single Campus Code group are to be entered. The Campus Code is optional.
Offering Type A2 The Offering Type Code should be entered if the Marks to be entered are for a single Offering Type group only. The Offering Type is optional.

All the fields in this block are display only, except for the Full Period Mark.

ID Number A15 The Student's National ID Number.
Exempt A1 Indication if this students is Exempted from this subject. This field is search enabled.
Class Group A2 The Class Group that is linked to the student. This field is search enabled.
Full Period Mark N3 Enter the Full Period Mark for the student. This field is query enabled.

NOTE:
  • No marks can be entered in respect of exemptions.
  • If validation 'PM' is set to Yes in {SMNT-1}, then a mark can be entered for cancelled students.
Decimal Full Period Mark N3.3
 Decimal Full Period Mark. This field is search enabled.
Surname
 A30 Student's Surname.
Names A40 Student's Name.
Qualification A6 The relevant Qualification. This field is search enabled.
Cancel Date DD-MON-YYYY If the subject has been Cancelled for the student, the Cancellation Date will be displayed. This field is search enabled.
Marks Batch Total /
Computer Batch Total		 N6
 A facility for using a batch control total is available in this option. After pressing <NEXT BLOCK>, the calculated control total (the total of all the marks for the students that were selected) can be entered. When the records are <COMMIT>ted, the system will also calculate and display the total of all the marks. If the entered total does not tally with the calculated total, the system will display a message to this effect.
