This option is used to maintain certificate types. This code structure will be used in {STGRDOP-6} Maintain Certificate Type Effective Dates which is also linked to {SSTUD7-2} Annual and Qualification Results.
At the time of development (Feb 2009) the certificate type was intended to give an indication of which pre-merged institution is issuing the certificate. This is mainly an issue in South Africa where several third level institutions were merged into one third level institution.
| Field | Type & Length |
Description |
|---|---|---|
| Type | A5 | Enter Certificate Type Code. |
| Description | A80 | Enter a Description for the Certificate Type. |
| Active | A1 | Indicate if the Certificate Type Code is Active or Non-Active (Y/N). When a certificate type is set to 'N', the description will display in records where the codes are already linked. New records cannot be created on {STGRDOP-6} for a certificate type defined as non-active. |
