Security Areas Definition {CACC-4} 


The campus will be divided into security areas. A security area can be a building, the main gate of the campus, the computer room in the Administration building, etc.   These areas, will then be linked to a zone, on a Security Control Unit. A responsible person(s) can be linked to this area.

Controller Code N6  Enter the security controller unit. The system validates that it is a valid Security Control Unit as created in {CACC-1} and displays the description.
Area Number N2 Enter a unique number to identify the security area.  These areas must be discussed with the third party first, as they are hardcoded on the control unit.  The codes as used on the control unit, must be duplicated in this option.
Description A30 Enter the description of the security area.
Override Code N1 Enter a valid override code for the area, as set up in {CACC-2}.  This field is not mandatory and should only be entered if an override code exists.

Block 2:  Security Area Composition

This block links the area number from block 1 to a physical area on the campus.  The area must be created in the Space Inventory System, to link it in this block.

Campus N2 Enter the campus code that should be linked to the security area.  The system validates that it is a valid campus code from {SPCS-1}.  The name will be displayed.
Building N4 Enter the building code that should be linked to the area. The system validates that it is a valid building code in {SPCS-4} and displays the name.
Floor N4 Enter the floor code that must be linked. The system validates that it is a valid floor code in {SPOPS-1} and displays the name. If a Date Inactive, smaller than the system Date, is inserted into the Space Inventory on {SPOPS-1}, the room may not be used.  If the Date Inactive is greater than the System Date it will be displayed as part of the LOV on the Floor/Room.
Room  A7 Enter the room number. The system validates that it is a valid room number in {SPOPS-1} and displays the name. 
Include/Exclude A1 Must this space be included or excluded from the security area? Valid entries are (I)nclude or (E)xclude.

Block 3:  Responsible Person for Security Area

Personnel Number N9 Enter the personnel number of the person who will be responsible for the area. The system validates that it is a valid personnel number and displays all other data in this block from the person’s biographical detail.
