Create Cards for all Users {CACI-1}
This option must only be used if the institution does not already
create cards in the Photocard System, for the user type required.
The Access Control System makes use of the card number in the Photocard
System and therefore these numbers must exist. If the institution
does not generate cards in the ITS system, this option can be used for
the bulk creation of cards.
This option creates a card according to user type selected, for the following:
- All personnel with biographical data in the personnel system that are currently employed.
- All registered students for the current year.
- All other users (CACM-1} for whom biographical data has been created.
When the card number is generated it will be in the following format:
- 2 characters : institution id as in {GCS-2}.
- 3 characters : 3 digit year eg: 1999 = 199, 2000 = 200, 2001 = 201,
etc. The first character and the last two characters of the
year.
- 5 characters : next available serial number from {CIDO-2}.
- 2 characters : 01 (the sequence number of the card).
It is recommended that the users first do a trial run, verify the data
and then run the update of the card number. After the numbers
have been generated, they can be seen in {CACM-2}.
