Staff booking system Overview {P000010-1}

The ITS Integrator Staff booking Sub System has the following main functions:
The staff booking system is integrated with the following sub systems:

o    The Skills development system

o    The HR Appointment system.

o    The Routing system

o    The Document storage system

 
This system provides an on line facility where managers can request an external training Request for specific group of personnel.
It also provide an on line facility  for HR  to create individual development plans where personnel can indicate which courses they are interested in and it is dependent on an approval process.

Questions regarding training requirements in individual development plans can be customized for specific groups based on the ranks, occupational categories or appointment types of personnel.
Data is captured on line which takes away admen work from HR/Training department.

Training courses with service providers are set up and maintained in terms of modules or courses and provides an on line platform where personnel can apply for courses. Only relevant personnel based on the occupational level linked to the post of the personnel member will be notified regarding available training courses, they can apply for.
 Personnel and Direct Seniors can now apply for courses and query all bookings and applications for training courses on line.
The system also caters for a waiting list management process.
The system also generates email notifications and includes approval processes that can be customized according to the clients request with some restrictions.
All data is stored on the database which allows the statutory SETA reporting to be done much easier.


Pre-requisites for the operation of the Staff Booking System   
{GCS-22} - Link Creditor codes as Employer codes   

The employer codes are used to create Service providers. If service providers are to be paid via the finance system a creditor code needs to be linked to it.

{PSDCS-16} – Course Ratings code
 The system is provided with a basic list of course rating values, New codes can also Be created and set to active/Inactive.

{PSDOP1-1} – Assessment codes
The system is provided with a default code that may be used, but the user may
Create any assessment code as needed.

Setup of routing requirements
a Default rout 'OTR1' is supplied, but any route type can be setup, however it will have to use the same outcome codes as the default route. Please note: if different questions needs to be created in individual development plans for different groups of personnel,  then a new route type needs to be created for each group.  A new route type means that the approval process may be unique for each route type
