Validate Biographical {S00001-5}

This option may be used to allow students to view and change his/her Biographical detail through the iEnabler.

The available fields are controlled and deployed by the Dynamic iEnabler Application {STWEBM-5}, where the table code is "IAD"

1	Validations {SMNT-1}	WI - WEB SA Identity No Validation If the validation is set on, the system does not check on the control digit in the number, but checks that such a number does not already exist in respect of an existing or past student. A check will also be made that the number does not exist in the table for “Students Excluded Elsewhere”. The check on the ID number is done on the first 10 digits. An algorithm check will also be done to indicate the validity according to a formula supplied by Internal Affairs. If validation WI is set to ‘Yes’ the following fields must be set to allow insert/update: A. Gender B. ID Number C. Date of Birth
2	System Operational Definitions {SMNT-12}	"CR - Citizen Relationship Requirement" for Subsystem "BI" If the Citizenship Code is equal to the value of the SOD, the ID Number is mandatory, otherwise the Passport Number is mandatory If the SOD has no value, the validation is ignored If the SOD has a value, fields Citizenship, Passport Number and ID Number must be set to allow insert/update

Processing Rules	Description
	The program uses the cycle '2 - Stud num gen year' to determine the year to use for generating new student numbers.
	When clicking on the button 'New Application' to create a new biographical record and cycle V is closed, the program will display a message to indicate that the cycle is closed; see example below.
