Integrated Assessment Structure {SACAD-12}

This option is used to indicate whether an assessment is shared by more than one subject.  The assignment is linked to one subject, but the outcome of evaluation on assessment level relates to more subjects.

The program is divided into two blocks.  On the left, the user links assessed subjects to assessment numbers per year, offering type, group type, group value, mark type and number, as defined in {SSTUD3-7}. On the right, you must indicate which involved subject combination details are covered in the assessment defined on the left. The involved subjects' criteria must also exist in {SSTUD3-7}.

When marks are entered for the Assessed Subjects in {TASKS1-2b2}, the marks will be copied to the corresponding assessments for the Involved Subjects. See the discussion of the processing rules below the example of the screen layout.

Only Mark Type values that are marked with a value 'Y' and 'P', as defined in the 'Mark Type Use' field in {SCODE-10}, can be used in this option.

Fields in the option:

Note: The reference to the word 'Block' is used outside the traditional meaning of the word in the context of the ITS System forms programs. In this instance, it simply denotes the left and right side of a link between two groups of data.

Example(s):

Example of {SACAD-12}

As can be seen from this example, the structure can be designed in different ways:
  1. Multiple subject / assessment can be written to the same subject / assessment combination.
    1. Typically, a student will not be registered for both left hand subjects but rather for one left hand and the right hand subject.
  2. One subject / assessment combination can be written to multiple subject / assessment combinations.
    1. Typically, a student will be registered for the left hand subject and both of the right hand subjects.
The example in more detail:
  1. In example 1 in the image above,

    1. When a mark is entered for Subject 'PPP0001', Offering Type '02', Group Type 'C', Group Value 'B' Mark Type 'PM' and Assessment 1, the program in {TASKS1-2} will also update the mark for Subject 'PPP0002', Offering Type '01', Group Type 'C', Group Value 'X1', Mark Type 'P1' and Assessment 1.
      1. Note: The student must be registered for both subjects 'PPP0001' and  'PPP0002', but not for 'PPP0001' and 'PPP0006'.
    2. Student 9510101 can be registered for the combination of subjects 'PPP0001' and 'PPP0002', whereas student 200500245 can be registered for subjects 'PPP0006' and 'PPP0002'. In both cases, when marks are entered for the left side of the equation, the right side of the equation will be updated.
      1. Note: A student should not be registered for both left side combinations i.e. PPP0001 and PPP0006. The last mark that is entered for the subject on the left side will be updated for the subject on the right side which may lead to confusion
  2. In example 2 in the image above:

    1. when a mark is entered for Subject 'PPP0005', Offering Type '01', Group Type 'C', Group Value 'A', Mark Type 'DM' and Assessment 1, both the assessments for Subject 'PPP0003', Offering Type '01', Group Type 'C', Group Value 'A', Mark Type 'DM' and Assessment 1 and Mark Type 'P1' and Assessment 2 will be updated.
      1. Note
        1. The student must be registered for both subjects 'PPP0005' and  'PPP0003'.
        2. The Mark Type and Assessment records for both subjects must be generated for both subjects. See the manual for {SSTUD1-8}.
Processing
Rules

  If the Assessed Subject has the Type of Evaluation of P(Professional Judgement) then the Involved subject should also be professional judgement and both subject's rubric codes should have the same results and sequence. excluding the result from SOD (NT,SR) on {SMNT-12}.
