Disciplinary Steps {SREGL-1}

This option is used to capture the results of Disciplinary Hearings. As notifications to Cancel Academic or Residence Registrations are often ignored, functionality was added to automate these processes. Disciplinary outcomes may require Cancellation of Academic and/or Residence Registrations.

Cancel of Academic Registration (Only used when SOD for Cancel the Academic Registration automatically is set to Y).

Access must be granted on {SMNT-5} to be able to trigger Academic Cancellation.
Execute the same functionality and tests normally done on {SREGC-3} for Qualification cancellations
Routing as set up in {GROU-1} for CARS is initiated to send notifications to affected parties
All Cancellations are written to a logfile
Cancellations can be automated using the following SOD's

N1/RE Cancel Academic Registration automatically. When Cancel Academic registration on Disciplinary steps taken is set to Yes, the Academic Registration should be Cancelled Automatically
N2/RE Academic Cancel Date. Determine which date is to be used to Cancel Academic Registration.
- If (D)efault then use system date as cancellation date
- If (S)pecific then use date on {SREGL-1} when cancellation is done
N5/RE Academic Cancellation Reason. {SCODE-25} Reason code to be used to Cancel Registration.
N6/RE Academic Cancellation Result Code. The {SCODE-23} result code to replace result code on subjects. Subjects with results are cancelled only when value of MC/SR SOD is explicitly set to Y

Cancel of Residence Registration. (Only used when SOD for Cancel the Residence Registration automatically is set to Y)

Access must be granted on {SMNT-5} to be able to trigger Residence Cancellation.
Execute the same function and tests that is normally done on {SRESIDE-50} for Residence cancellations.
Routing as set up in {GROU-1} for CRRS is initiated to send notifications to affected parties
All Cancellations are written to a logfile
Cancellations can be automated using the following SOD's

N3/RE Cancel Residence Registration automatically. When Cancel Residence registration on Disciplinary steps taken is set to Yes, the Residence Registration should be Cancelled Automatically

N4/RE Residence Cancel Date. Determine which date is to be used to Cancel Residence Registration. Only used when SOD for Cancel the Residence Registration automatically is set to Y

If (D)efault then default sysdate as cancellation date
If (M)onth then use the last day of the sysmonth
If (B)lock then use the end date of the Residence Block Code on {GOPS-1}
If (S)pecific then use date on {SREGL-1}

If (F)inance Specific date then use the new cancellation rule

Student Number	N9	The Student Number is used to query existing records in respect of a student or to enter new records. The student’s name is displayed.
Name	A40	The Title, Initials and surname for the Student Number entered
ID/Passport	A18	Display Student Id number or Passport number
Year	N4	Academic year in which this record was created.
Council Meeting	A10	A reference to the Council Meeting or hearing at which the decision was made.
Qualification Code	A6	Optional. A student may register for more than one Qualification. Indicate which Registration should be Cancelled.
Cancel Academic Registration	Y/N	Mandatory. Default N. Indicate if Academic Registration must be cancelled as a result of disciplinary action. (Cancellation is only done when SOD N1/RE for automatic Cancel of Academic registration is set to Y) The Academic Registration may not be cancelled if any of the Subjects already has Results entered. If subject already has a result code and the End date of the subject’s BC is today or in the past. Do not cancel, but replace the result code with the result code on the SOD. (fee regulation as the subject’s service was fully delivered) If subject already has a result code and the End date of the Subject’s BC is in the future. Remove the result code and cancel the subject If subject does not have a result code then cancel the subject If subjects with result codes exists, then replace the qualification result code with the result code on the SOD and do not cancel the qualification If subjects do not have any result codes – cancel the qualification as well
