Load / Calculation of Matric Types {SCAO1-8}

With this option the user can indicate which matric type subject should be loaded and which should be used in calculating the WRS scores. Records cannot be created or deleted in this option. Matric types are defined in {SCODE3-1b3}.

Fields in this option:

Block 1:  Matric Types.

Field Type
&
Length
Description
Type A2  The code of the matric type. The user cannot create, change or delete this code.
Name A30 The description of the matric type. It cannot be changed in this option.
Load from CAO files A1 If the CAO load program {SCAO2-2} should load subjects for a specific matric type, the user must explicitly enter a 'Y'. A null value translates to 'N'. It is possible to enter a value of 'T' in this field. This will indicate that the data for the matric type marked with a 'T' should be loaded in the applicant textual information table {SCAOM-7b6}.
Use in WRS Calculation A1 If the WRS calculate program {SCAO2-4} should exclude subjects from the calculation, the user must explicitly enter an 'N'. A null value translates to 'Y'.

It is possible to exclude certain matric types from loading, but still include that same type in the calculation of the WRS scores. This apparent contradiction is allowed to enable the user to use the 'scores calculate and eligibility test' programs to be used for non-CAO applicants.
Group in WRS Calculation N1 If different matric types can be combined to calculate the WRS score, the user can link the same numeric group value to different matric types. If the field is left with a value of null, the WRS calculate program will not combine different matric types in calculating the score of applicants.
