Enter Primary Final Mark (Alpha) {SSTUD2-27}

This option is used to enter the Student's Final Marks directly and in alphabetical order. The Result Code will automatically be calculated and displayed. Alternatively, the Final Marks and Results can be calculated using the Criteria as specified in option {SSTUDE-1}, {SSTUDE-3} and {SSTUDE-4}.

The entering of Final Paper Marks is governed by System Cycle "E" (under option {SSTUDY-1}, TAB - to a specified exam year, exam month and offering type. Marks may also only be entered when the system date is between the dates defined in this option.
Access to this option may be further limited on a faculty / department and campus basis with the use of the facilities under option {SMNT-5}.
A student must have a valid year mark and be admitted to an examination.

Block 1: Subject Details

The first block allows the user to enter the selection criteria for the records that the user wishes to update. The exam year, examination month and subject code must be entered. The offering type and exam group is optional.

Month	N2	Enter the examination month.
Subject Code	A7	Enter the subject code.
Offering Type	A2	Enter the offering type for the student per subject. This field is optional.
Exam Group	A2	Enter the exam group. This field is optional.

Block 2: Student Details

When <NEXT BLOCK> is pressed, enter the Student Number and press tab to enter the Marks for students registered for the selected combination, who have not cancelled and who have obtained Examination Admittance. The Final Mark can then be entered and the Result Code will automatically be calculated according to the criteria in {SSTUDE-3} and {SSTUDE-4}.

Block 3: Batch Control

Marks Batch Total	N6	It is possible to use batch control for verification of final marks entered by supplying the total score of all marks for that subject in the "Marks Batch Total" field. After the marks have been <COMMIT>ted, the system will add the total of the marks entered, verify this against the entered Batch Total, and display the calculated total with a warning if the two totals differ.
