Alternative Calculate Annual Results {SSTUD4-31}


This option is used Calculate Annual Results to determine if a student can progress to the next study period or stay in the same study period during the next registration period.

The input from the faculty personnel will be needed to:

Enter Offering Type or ALL A2 The Offering type of the registration for which result must calculated

Enter the Offering Type or ALL A2 The user has the option to run the program per 'Offering Type' or ALL.

The example is a composite indicating some of the scenarios that may be encountered:

  • The first highlighted message means that there are student(s) registered for the qualification = DI0440, study period = 3, block = DI combination with outstanding annual result for the year, but there are no annual result calculation criteria setup for this combination.
  • These student(s) do not need to progress to a next study period level or application / registration will be manually created for them.

  • The message "Result code not set up..." means that there are student(s) registered for the qualification = DI1500, study period = E, block = <bloc code>, ot = WI combination without result codes defined for the qualification, study period,ot combination.
  • If these student(s) need to auto progress to a next study period level these results must be defined in SSTUD3-3b2.

1: This student pass all the progression rules and will be assigned annual result {SSTUDD-2} Result code if promoted. When an application is automatically created for this student it will be for the next study period.

2: there are outstanding subject results for this student, therefore no annual result can be calculated for this student. Annual result will be NULL. No application will be created automatically for this student.

3: this student failed some progression rule(s) and will be assigned annual result {SSTUDD-2} Result code if not promoted. When an application is automatically created for this student it will be for the same study period.
