Maintain Packages Item Definitions {FPMM-24}

In the Store environment there is the need to issue an item that is not available from a supplier, but the components are. In this case the Store personnel will define the package and component items using the option {FPMM-23} and then linking the items in this option.

The Package Item can be used in different ways:

Distance Education Module - The package must be made-up before the issue process using option {FPMO4-1} to issue the components and option {FPMO4-2} to put the package back into the store. The options "Create Package" {FPMO4-27} or "Unpack Packages" {FPMO4-28} performs both the issuing and receiving of items in a single action.

Request or Order (assign to PO) - Entering the package item on option {FPMO1-1} / {FPMO2-1}  the program will create records for all the component items with the correct order quantities.
Store Request (assign to SE) - Entering the package item on option {FPMO1-1} the program will either create a request for all the components of a package with the correct issue quantities to create a package item or request the package depending on the user selection..

Issue - Entering the package item on option {FPMO4-1}  (only Type of Document SA) the program will issue the package as a unit. It assumes that the package consists of the components

Create Packages - the program {FPMO-27} creates stock issues for the components of a package and returns the pack back into stock for the requested number of packages.

Unpack Packages -  the program {FPMO4-28}  creates stock issues for a package and returns the package components back into stock for the requested number of packages.
